Start with the right question

Is a GSA Schedule the right next step for your business?

Getting on the Schedule involves more than completing an application. The useful first step is understanding whether your offerings, records, and goals support pursuing an offer now—and what you may need to strengthen first.

Do your offerings fit?

Start with the products or services you actually sell. A potential Schedule category needs to match your offering and the applicable solicitation requirements.

Can you support the offer?

Expect to substantiate your business history, commercial practices, experience, and pricing with records that tell a consistent story.

What happens after award?

A Schedule is a contracting vehicle, not a purchase order. Winning work still takes a federal sales plan and ongoing contract management.

The process

Four stages of a GSA Schedule offer

A Schedule offer brings together business records, pricing, technical information, and past performance. The work continues after submission through GSA review.

  1. 1. Review readiness and identify SINs

Review your business operations, commercial history, and offering. Match products or services to appropriate Special Item Numbers (SINs), rather than selecting a category by name alone.

  2. 2. Organize records, experience, and pricing

Gather registrations, financial and commercial records, relevant past performance, price lists, and a supportable approach to pricing. Check that the source records agree.

  3. 3. Prepare and submit the offer

Develop technical narratives and pricing materials, check consistency across the package, and submit through the appropriate GSA eOffer system.

  4. 4. Respond during GSA review

GSA may request clarifications or supported revisions. Prepare responses and work through pricing and terms negotiations; GSA makes the final award decision.

The practical side

What you will need to prepare

The exact requirements depend on your offering and the applicable GSA solicitation. These are the kinds of inputs a readiness review can help you organize before you commit to an offer.

Your offering

Clear descriptions of what you sell and the customers you serve.

Business records

Registration, company details, and other information relevant to the solicitation.

Commercial history

Sales practices, pricing records, and supporting documentation that apply to your offer.

Experience

Examples of relevant work or performance that support the capabilities you propose.

Pricing approach

A supportable explanation of what you charge and how your proposed pricing fits the offer.

Time for review

A person on your team who can provide records, answer questions, and approve business decisions.

Not sure what you already have?

You do not need a perfect folder of documents to start a conversation. Tell us what you sell and where you are in the process; we can talk through the gaps with you.

Common questions

What is a GSA Schedule?

The GSA Multiple Award Schedule is a federal contracting program through which awarded contractors can offer eligible products and services to government buyers.

Do I need every record before starting?

A readiness review can identify which business records, commercial history, and offering details are already available and which need attention.

What happens after submission?

GSA reviews the offer and may request clarifications or additional information before negotiations and award processing.

Can GO GSA guarantee an award?

No. GSA makes all eligibility, acceptance, and award decisions.
